Refunds

In short: if Prose Pro isn't for you, email us within 14 days of any payment and we'll refund it in full. No questions, no forms.

Try before you pay

Every new user gets Pro for their first 10,000 words, with no card needed, and free mode keeps working afterwards. So you can know whether Pro is worth it before paying anything.

14-day refund

• Within 14 days of your first payment, or of any renewal (monthly or yearly), you can ask for a full refund of that payment.
• Write to [email protected] from the email you used to subscribe. That's all we need.
• The refund goes back to your original payment method through Polar, our merchant of record, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
• When a payment is refunded, the subscription ends and Prose returns to free mode.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the customer portal (Settings › Plan › Manage in the app, or the link in your receipt). Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. After the 14 days, the current period isn't refunded, except where the law requires it.

Your legal right of withdrawal

If you live in the EU or the UK, you have a legal 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. Pro starts as soon as you subscribe, at your request; our 14-day refund above covers you at least as well, whether or not you've used Pro.

Something not working?

Before asking for a refund, tell us what's wrong: [email protected]. If a problem on our side stopped Pro from working for a long stretch, we'll make it right even after 14 days.
